This Image displays Bacon's Rebellion. Bacon's Rebellion relates to slave trade because it is the reason why the plantation owners had to look else-where for a new work force. Many of the Indentured servants refused to work due to bacon's Rebellion, which made the planation owners nervous. Many of the owners decided to look to Africa in hope for a safer and more reliable work force.

Slave trade exploded into the America's just after Bacon's Rebellion. The indentured servants refused to work the Tobacco fields, so the English colonists had to look to Africa. This is where the Middle Passage evolved from. The Middle Passage was the name of the voyage that the captains would embark on, which resulted in the carrying of slaves to the America's.

The Middle Passage was the major reason why slave trade took off in the Americas. The fist leg of the trip was to Africa from Spain, mainly manufactured goods were brought to Africa. From Africa the ships would haul hundreds of slaves to the Americas. When leaving the Americas the ships would be filled with raw materials to bring back to Spain.
